Trauma Therapy
Illinois, Iowa, and Oregon
You’ve carried so much for so long.
It’s time to find relief.
You’ve survived things you rarely talk about. Maybe things you’ve never said out loud.
People see you as strong, dependable, capable. And you are. But inside, it’s racing thoughts, pressure in your chest, and that aching sense that something’s wrong, even when everything seems fine.
You’ve always felt like you needed to hold it together - to keep pushing, keep performing, keep doing. But lately, that just doesn’t work anymore. You’re burned out, overwhelmed, and wondering why everything feels so impossible.
You might not even name it as trauma. You just know that something’s not right and maybe what you’ve gone through has something to do with it.
When trauma goes unprocessed, it doesn’t go away
It just finds quieter ways to show up
You feel like you’re always on edge, bracing for something to go wrong.
You work hard, achieve a lot - but feel like a failure on the inside.
You have a hard time trusting your own emotions. You’ve been told you're “too much” or “too sensitive.”
You try to relax but can’t - your mind keeps spinning, your body stays tense.
You go through the motions of your life but feel disconnected, numb, or exhausted.
You carry shame or self-doubt that you can't explain.
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not broken. You’re living with trauma and doing the best you can.
Trauma therapy can help you feel more grounded,
more free, and more like yourself
Understand how your past is impacting your present.
Reduce anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional overwhelm.
Let go of perfectionism and the pressure to always “do more”.
Feel less triggered and more in control of your body and reactions.
Experience more compassion and less judgment toward yourself.
You don’t have to keep pushing through. There’s another way.
What trauma therapy looks like with me
In our work together, we’ll move at your pace. I’m not here to rush you or force you to talk about things before you’re ready. Some of my clients come in not even knowing exactly why they’re distressed - just that they are. That’s okay. That’s where we start.
I draw from approaches which are especially helpful when you tend to do too much - people-pleasing, overachieving, always showing up but never really feeling seen. It’s not about fixing you, it’s about helping you feel less exhausted by everything you’re carrying.
And I’m not a blank wall therapist. I’m warm, real, and straightforward. I’ll ask questions. I’ll name what feels hard. I’ll help you sort through the mess right alongside you.
